You’ll find yourself perched within the rolling hills of Tuscany and its magnificent scenery – think towering cypress trees, rolling hills, pockets of vines making famously full-bodied wines, and charming tumbledown villages of honey-coloured stone. You’ll be just 20 minutes south of Siena where you can discover staggering architecture, from the expansive Piazza del Campo to the dramatic cathedral, a medieval urban layout and a collection of delicious restaurants. It’s a great base for exploring, with the cities of Florence, Arezzo and Pisa also within easy reach, as well as iconic sights such as San Gimignano’s 14 towers and Chianti’s excellent vineyards and tasting rooms.
