  • Slopeside location: Perched right on the slopes just a minute from the Klausberg ski lift, this is a winter-lover's paradise. The resort itself offers stylish Alpine interiors, exquisite cuisine and breathtaking views at every turn, and when you’re done exploring the stunning terrain for the day, there's plenty to keep you occupied within the hotel's walls.

  • R&R: The hotel houses a quaint wellness area with a relaxation area, a hot tub, sauna and infrared cabin. Upon request, there’s an expert therapist on hand to soothe and relax your mind, body and soul with a selection of massages, facials and beauty treatments using local oils like mountain pine oil – the perfect way to completely unwind. You can expect a menu of authentic regional dishes with a creative international twist, expertly prepared using the finest local ingredients.

How to get there

Snow lovers will be pleased to know that you’re just 50 metres from the Klausberg ski area here, with the cable car just a minute's walk away from the hotel. There are 30 kilometres of slopes in Klausberg, with a ski school for beginners, and 100 kilometres more slopes spread between the two other nearby ski resorts, which are 10 and 30 kilometres away respectively. Cross country skiers are catered for too, as are those who prefer a little more downtime, with plenty of rustic ski lodges and après ski on hand.

In the summer and autumn, the picturesque Ahrntal Valley transforms from a snowy ski resort into the ideal location to hike until your heart’s content, and the wonderful Gourmet Alpin Hotel Sonnleiten makes all this easily possible. Situated right in the heart of the valley, you’re perfectly placed for outdoor activities aplenty, from hiking and biking to climbing and swimming, or simply just soaking up the magnificent surroundings.
