Experience unrivalled hospitality at a family-run Alpine hotel with impressive mountain views - includes breakfast, dinner, spa access, and more
  • All-round fun: The Winkler family’s welcoming and friendly approach at Chesa Monte immediately puts you at ease in this stunning Austrian Alpine retreat. This traditional bolthole may be understated, but it isn’t lacking for luxurious comforts that make a good stay great. The airy rooms and suites have large beds and spectacular mountain views – in the winter, the landscape is a snowy haven, whereas in the summer, an enticing verdant oasis lies before you.

  • Austrian foody delights: The Grüne Haube restaurant takes pride in the fact it only uses local and organic ingredients, so whether you’re starting the day with the homemade muesli and jams, or coming back from a busy day for the six-course dinner, you know you’re getting the best grub in the region. Amazing mountain views complement the excellent platters, and in the summer, a gorgeous sun terrace opens up for fantastic al fresco dining opportunities.

  • Mountain wellness: What could be better after a day in the mountains than a sauna session, or floating in the indoor pool, complete with a vortex and whirlpool? Nod off on one of the comfy loungers in the relaxation zone, or let out your inner child and hang out on a cool bright red rope swing. For an extra pampering, book in for a treatment or massage and say goodbye to all your worries and woes.

Platzergasse 4, 6533 Fiss, Austria

At almost 1,500 metres above sea level, the slopes in the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski area are pretty much guaranteed a good covering of snow in the winter season. 214 kilometres of slopes vary in difficulty and delight ski and snowboarders year in, year out. The ski lifts are only a short walk from the hotel, but the hotel are also more than happy to give you and your equipment a lift. Additionally, there's a stunning 22-kilometre cross-country skiing route that wows all who take it on, with amazing views along the way.

Then cue the summer months, when the expanse of rolling green hills are ready to be explored, either by hiking or on foot. For a real adrenaline rush, take to the skies and see the remarkable landscape among the birds with trained pilots from Airtaxi Oberland who'll take you up in a tandem paraglider.
