You’ll be staying in Novi Vinodolski (or simply Novi as it is often called) - the resort town located on Croatia's Adriatic coast. Must-dos include getting stuck into a selection of water sports at the beach (pedal boating, water skiing, parasailing and diving are available), marvelling at the remains of Frankopan Castle and shopping in the supermarkets and souvenir stores in the town centre (most stay open until late during high season). You’ll also be just an hour from Opatija, where highlights include strolling along the famous 12-kilometre-long Lungomare promenade to marvel at the majestic villas and ample gardens, visiting the restored Villa Angiolina to gaze in awe at its frescoes, gilded mirrors and floor mosaics, and whiling away the hours in one of the Viennese-style cafés.
