Location and what's nearby

High St, Dorking RH4 1BE
The traditional market town is home to a wealth of exceptional produce - head to Denbies Wine Estate to visit the country's largest vineyards, and be sure to sample a glass. Then head back into town and make a beeline for West Street, dedicated entirely to antique stores. If you don’t come away with a treasure to take home, you certainly won’t leave empty handed from Dorking’s traditional weekly market, filled with delicious food, drink and local artisanal goodies.
The historic hotel also has a literary touch, as it once hosted the writer Charles Dickens while he worked on The Pickwick Papers. You’ll find charming memorabilia around the hotel, as well as a quirky cocktail menu inspired by the famous novel.
