Property details

Luxury tower with rooftop lounge and spa oasis directly on the harbour - includes breakfast, a welcome drink, sauna and gym access, and late check-out
  • Historic harbour setting: The Empire Riverside Hotel impresses with its unique location on the Elbe and its proximity to Hamburg's city centre. Striking and prestigious, the bronze-coloured tower rises into the sky of Hamburg and reveals at first sight: Here, in the building designed by British star architect David Chipperfield, you not only indulge in superior comfort, you also reside in an extraordinary ambience. This also applies to the surrounding area: the historic Speicherstadt and the vibrant neighbourhood life of St. Pauli can be reached from your home-from-home in just a few minutes.

  • Variety of flavours: At the in-house restaurant waterkant, traditional Nordic dishes are creatively reimagined and prepared in a spectacular show kitchen. Here, modern culinary art meets a stunning view of the Elbe. Equally inspiring is the Skyline Bar 20up; situated 90 metres above the city, it is the perfect spot for a sundowner with a 360-degree panorama over Hamburg’s rooftops. Completing the Empire Riverside Hotel’s gastronomic trio is DAVID’s, a cosy fireplace lounge ideal for a relaxing break with artisanal coffee creations.

  • Relaxation with a view: After a day full of city discoveries, the 200-square-metre wellness area of the hotel offers the perfect oasis of peace in the midst of Hamburg's vibrant city life. During sauna sessions, you can let the impressions of the day work their magic on you in peace and quiet, restored for all the upcoming activities. Sports enthusiasts will find all the options they need to keep fit and in shape with cardio and strength training in the hotel's fully equipped 24/7 fitness facilities.

How to get there

From Hamburg Airport you can reach your hotel in around 35 minutes by car or roughly 30 minutes by S-Bahn to Landungsbrücken - from there it is only a few minutes' walk to your accommodation. Empire Riverside Hotel, Bernhard-Nocht-Straße 97, 20359 Hamburg, Germany

Hamburg, the 'Pearl of the North,' offers an incomparable blend of maritime charm and vibrant urban diversity. From the historic Speicherstadt to the modern HafenCity and world-famous Landungsbrücken, Hamburg’s iconic waterfront invites endless exploration. Those who have a soft spot for culture and architecture will find their happiness in the numerous museums, the charming alleys of the old town and - of course - in the world-famous Elbphilharmonie.

But Germany's second-largest metropolis also has a lot in store for nature lovers. You can discover the city on cycling or hiking tours along the banks of the Elbe and Alster, with a variety of biking trails and promenades offering ideal routes for explorers. Water sports fans will find the best conditions for sailing or stand-up paddling both in the harbour and on the Elbe.
