How to get there

You will need to catch the ferry over to Texel from Den Helder, which can be reached from Amsterdam in about an hour and a quarter by car or train. The hotel is roughly a 17-minute drive from the ferry port.

Good to know

The sauna and Turkish steam bath are accessible to all hotel guests between 4.30pm and 7pm. You can reserve the sauna and steam bath for a private hour for an additional fee. Please note that it is customary to use the sauna without swimwear during the free entrance hours. If you prefer to visit the sauna in swimwear, the hotel recommends booking a private session.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.

Days here mostly consist of long beach walks along the miles and miles of coastline with your feet in the sand and fresh sea air in your lungs, but the island’s interior also has plenty to offer in the way of beautiful walks. There’s 140 kilometres of cycle paths as well, for those who prefer wheels to walking.
