From dense pine woods and dramatic rock-faces to alpine pastures and flower-studded meadows, the countryside surrounding the comune of Tirolo and the wider Merano region is truly a hiker’s paradise. There are many trails to choose from, ranging from easy to challenging - but always worthwhile! On the right day, you can even take a refreshing dip in the pristine Spronser Lakes.

Opt for a bike or e-bike to follow the cycle paths snaking through the idyllic scenery, or see all the wonder from birds-eye-view on a truly epic paragliding tour. For a slightly slower pace, be sure not to miss the magnificent Castel Tirolo, a formidable and haunting relic of the Middle Ages.
