The luxurious rooms and suites are fabulously relaxing, with ultra-comfortable beds made up in soft cotton linens, characterful original features and classically Scottish tartan details. The estate also has a driving range and pro shop.

  • Scotland on a plate: The hotel’s award-winning restaurants showcase the best of Scottish produce, from local whiskeys at Barossa bar, to gastropub fare at Cairns – with a view of the golf course, and innovative contemporary cuisine at Eolas, where menus change every six weeks depending on what’s in season.

Murrayshall is perfectly situated for exploring picturesque Perthshire, enveloped by the hilly landscape which is best explored on foot or by bike – the hotel offers guided walks or you can head off on your own, and there are bikes available to hire. There’s a massive amount to do on site, with a choice of different activities to sign up for like archery or zooming around on a quad bike, and the hotel can also arrange for you to head off-site to do paddle boarding or kayaking on the river Tay, where you might spot kingfishers, otters or herons. If you prefer more sedate pastimes, there’s whiskey tasting at Lindores Abbey and Glenturret distilleries. You can also head out further afield to explore the wild scenery of the Cairngorms National Park, about an hour to the north.
