  • Wine and dine: You needn't wander far for a spot of dinner or a drink or two, as the resort's restaurant and bar is set in the building's historic interiors and offers a menu of delicious dishes. Spread across the resort's grounds, apartments are cosy and furnished with comfy sofas and snug, carpeted floors. You can cook up a storm in your very own kitchen or head to a local village for some hearty pub grub.

  • Home from home: The interiors retain a charming Jacobean Great Hall, where stone floors give way to wood-panelled walls and a roaring fire burns beneath a head-height mantel. You'll also find a heated indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub as part of the spa's leisure facilities, as well as massages and beauty treatments (fees apply) and a well-equipped fitness centre. After returning from a day of exploration in the English countryside, you could also enjoy a friendly game of table tennis. 

How to get there

By car, the resort is easily accessible from the M6 motorway. The nearest airport is Manchester and the closest train station is Lancaster, easily navigable via taxi.

Please note, guests are required to show photo identification and a credit card upon check-in. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

The resort will require a valid credit/debit card to charge a refundable security deposit of £100 per lodge or apartment.

Please note that apartments are not all on one level and there may be internal steps. For guests with accessibility requirements, please contact the property directly to arrange this in advance. Requests for wheelchair accessible accommodation must be confirmed by the resort.

Refurbishments or building work may be taking place throughout the year. While the hotel/resort endeavours to keep noise and disruption to a minimum, there may be some disturbance to guests.

Please note that this property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. The resort also reserves the right to refuse check-in or terminate stays in cases of anti-social behaviour (policy available on request).
